While attending JMU, I set a goal for myself to go into video editing as a career, despite getting waitlisted for the Digital Media/Digital Video discipline in JMU’s School of Media Arts & Design. In the years since, I’ve taught myself a variety of editing programs, including FCP7 (at JMU), Avid Media Composer (at NBC12), Adobe Premiere CC (also at NBC12) and as of late, DaVinci Resolve.
